RHOTEC ALK-TAX is a variant of RHOTEC and makes it possible to measure alcohol during production when the alcohol content must be determined by a certified instrument for tax reasons.
RHOTEC ALC-TAX - Certified alcohol measurement
The RHOTEC ALC-TAX density sensor continuously measures the alcohol content. Compliant with the requirements of the PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt – German National Metrology Institute), the device is recognized and certified by the German authorities. The instrument is designed for applications requiring maximum sensitivity and the highest accuracy. It is easy to use and maintenance-free. For density measurement, the liquid flows through a thin, U-shaped tube within the sensor. Electromagnets excite the tube to oscillate at its resonant frequency. Simultaneously, an internal reference oscillator measures the oscillation behavior. Even the smallest changes in the liquid's density affect the measured signal and are detected with the highest precision. As a specific property of every liquid, the relationship between concentration and density can be described by a mathematical polynomial. With decades of experience and our own laboratory facilities, Centec knows the polynomials for a large number of products. Temperature drifts of the measurement signal are automatically compensated by an internal Pt1000 sensor. The RHOTEC ALC-TAX can display the liquid's density and the solution's concentration in various units.
