The innovative KilnScout-Europe is a wireless in-kiln moisture meter system, developed for European market, to maximize output for continuous and batch lumber dry kilns. Using capacitive measurement technology, KilnScout-Europe allows your operation to control the drying process from direct moisture content input. This eliminates the costly feedback loop from the planer mill and unreliable time-based drying schedules. The result is improved grade recovery, increased throughput and a significant impact on your bottom line.

Optimize lumber quality and throughput
Monitors direct wood moisture content to accurately reach an MC target. Less risk for over-drying defects. Production results show 5%-10% increased throughput. These factors together with less energy consumption impact your bottom line.

Large sample size per sensor
Each sensor covers ∼1 meter³ of wood. Suitable for batch and continuous kilns.

Accuracy within 1%
The accuracy in terms of standard deviation is typically better than 1% per unit. No need to enter the kiln to monitor sample boards.

Full PLC integration and push-mail
Easily integrated with common PLC systems, and sends customized email or text alerts to forklifts and kiln operators on moisture, temperature and shutdown info.
