Introduction
This instrument is designed and manufactured according to the requirements stipulated in the national standard GB/T 17144-2021 “Micro method for the determination of carbon residue of Petroleum products” of the People’s Republic of China, and is used for the determination of carbon residue of petroleum products.

7. For the petroleum fraction with carbon residue mass fraction less than 0.10%, 10% (volume fraction) of the residue can be prepared according to the requirements specified in the GB/T 17144-2021 standard before the determination, and then the instrument is used for determination.
8. There is no statistically significant difference between the measurement results obtained by this instrument and those obtained by Kahn’s carbon residue method in the range of 0.10% ~ 25.0% (mass fraction)
