SYNCOMM course module covered the fundamentals of synchronous transmission, an overview of SDH as definite by ITU-T and describes the basic structure and payload capabilities of SMT-1 frame, the detail of SDH optical link and how different types of traffic are mapped into SMT-1 frame, the equipments and structure of broadband networks based on the SDH and the management and maintenance issues of SDH.
