♦ Types of Pressure Gauge

> Water pressure gauge
 - The concept of "reducing atmospheric pressure for forecasting stormy weather" was invented by Lucien Vidie and is the foundation for a simple weather forecasting device called a barometer or "Goethe barometer". It contains inside a sealed glass tube, half filled with water. It has a narrow spout that sits below the water level and protrudes above the water's surface, and does not weld. When the atmospheric pressure is lower than the pressure when the manometer was sealed, the water level rises, and as the pressure increases, the water level drops. Variants of this type of manometer can be easily created at home [7].

♦ Scope of use
 - During an energy audit, a Pressure Gauge is often used to determine the differential pressure between two points in the gas pipeline or exhaust air. Pressure difference is used to calculate the flow velocity of the pipe using the Bernoulli equation. (differential pressure = v ^ 2 / 2g)
 - More detailed ways of using the manometer are described in the section on how to use the manometer. However, a similar approach can be used to measure the pressure difference across two points in a pipeline containing any drains. In that case, it should be noted that the manometer should be suitable for use with the fluid flow rate.
The velocity of the fluid flow is calculated by:

Differential pressure = f LV^2 / 2gD

f is the coefficient of friction of the pipe material;
L is the distance between two pressure difference points;
D is the pipe diameter;
g is the gravity constant.
