The hot wire ignition test apparatus is designed according to the standards of IEC60950, IEC60695-2-20, UL60950, ASTMD3874 and etc.. The hot wire ignition test uses a heating wire of a specific size (Φ0.5 mm* 250 mm) and a specific material (Ni80/Cr20), after pre-annealing with specified heating power (0.26W/mm) and the specified time (8s~12s), the hot wire is wound five times on the sample with a certain winding tension (5.4N) and a certain winding spacing (6.35mm), then the sample with the hot wire wound at the specified heating power (0.26W) )test for 120 s, the fire risk is assessed by whether the sample is ignited or the time taken to ignite. The hot wire ignitio test apparatus is applied to the industries of lighting fixtures, low voltage appliance, household appliance and etc., and also applied to insulating material, and electrical connector.
The hot wire ignition test apparatus is controlled by single chip and push buttons. The test apparatus is built-in air exhaust, the exhaust fan automatically draws air when power on, and automatically run for 2 minutes when power off. The front panel is transparent for easy observation of the experimental process.
