This leads many to suspect measurement errors or equipment inaccuracy, whereas the actual cause is a confusion between WFT (Wet Film Thickness) and DFT (Dry Film Thickness)

The presence of gaps, edge separation, or partial adhesion significantly compromises airtightness, watertightness, and mechanical strength.
