The equipment for flexing heating elements and internal wiring is designed according to IEC60335-2-17 clause 21.111.1 and figure 110. It is mainly used for flexing test of heating elements and internal wiring of electric blanket, and check the degree of damage after a certain number of bending.
The equipment has a carrier of two pulleys, each pulleys have a groove with a radius of 4mm, the diameter at the base of the groove being 25mm. The pulleys are arranged so that the sample is horizontal where it passes between them. The sample is stretched over the pulleys,
each end being loaded with a mass of 0.25kg. The carrier is moved by a means of a chain over a distance of 2m at a constant speed of approximately 0.33m/s for 25000 cycles (a cycle is two movements, one in each direction), the sample shall not break during the test.
